H.A.M.S. (Hamilton Acting and Music School) Camp
Eligibility: Any Hamilton City School student who was in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th during the ‘13-’14 school year
Times/Places:
-Camp/Rehearsals: 9:00am – 11:30am every weekday June 4th through July 12th.
At Bridgeport Elementary June 4th-July 2nd)
At Hamilton High School during the week of the show (July 7th-12th)
-One evening rehearsal at Hamilton High School on July 1st from 6pm-9pm.
-No camp July 3rd or 4th. We will be performing at the 4th of July festival downtown (details TBA)
-Open Dress rehearsal Thursday, July 10th, 7:00pm, at Hamilton High School (campers must report by 5:30pm, run thru of the show will begin at 7:00pm)
-Performances: “The Jungle Book” (audience tickets will be $5.00 each) at Hamilton High School Friday, July 11th @ 7:00pm & Saturday, July 12th @ 2:00pm and 7:00pm. (Performers should be prepared to stay between performances. We will order pizza, play games, and reflect on our experience)
Cost: $50.00 per camper if you pre-register and pay in full by May 30th. $60.00 per camper if you register after May 30th. This covers a camp t-shirt, music, scripts, materials, costumes, and props. Payment may be cash or checks made out to “Hamilton Performing Arts Association”.
Attendance: Since we are working towards a final product of a finished show, regular attendance is a must. Any camper with more than 2 unexcused absences will be dismissed from the camp without a refund. We realize that families take vacations in the summer and we don’t require that you alter your vacation plans. We do, however, require advanced notice of any absence for vacation purposes (these will be excused absences and your child will not be penalized).
All campers must be dropped off and picked up on time.

What to wear: comfortable clothes for sitting on the floor, moving, etc. For safety reasons, your child must wear gym shoes – absolutely no flip flops, sandals, heels, open-toed shoes, etc.
What to Bring: A snack and a water bottle. We will have a 10 minute snack break each day. (Suggested snacks: granola bar, bag of chips, cookies, crackers. NO FRUIT, SWEET DRINKS, OR STICKY FOOD). Please keep in mind that this is a snack break, not a meal break. Please pack foods that are quick and easy to eat.
What to Expect: Week 1: introductions, auditions*, and casting. Weeks 2-5: rehearsals and lessons. Week 6: run thrus and getting ready for the performances!
