A Word About Costumes

The camp shirt will be the base of the costume.

The bright colored t-shirt will go over top of the camp shirt, so be sure that it covers the camp shirt.  Remember- no blue or red.

The white shirt needs to be one that we can paint a large black letter or two (blood type) on.  It should be slightly larger-like a night shirt.

Remember the black shorts to finish out the costumes.  Gym shoes that are clean and in good shape or jazz shoes.  Short socks.

Circulation girls will wear their short sleeve or sleeveless leotard under everything.  Color doesn't matter as it will never show.

Reminder: We're at Hamilton High from now on!

Parents, just a reminder: We're at Hamilton High School from now on! Please pull into the Eaton Avenue parking lot and drop your child off at the doors labeled Auditorium. We will be there to greet your child and show them where to go. If you arrive after 9:00, please take your child into the auditorium, as no one will be there to greet them at the door. To get to the auditorium, walk straight into the school. After passing the outside doors, inner doors, and a set of brown doors leading to a hallway, you will see the glass display case ahead of you. This is the auditorium lobby. Please bring your child inside using either set of wooden double doors to the left and right of the display case.

Also, if you did not get a note about costumes along with a ticket order form, please make sure to let a teacher know so we can send one home with your child.

Lastly, we will be sending home a letter regarding parent volunteers. Volunteer positions are filled based on the order that we receive notice from you. So if you want to volunteer, please let us know as early as possible so we can ensure you a spot. Volunteers get to see the show for free!

Hope your getting as excited about the show as we are! :-)

This is a very poor quality video, but here is the kids' performance at Hamilton's Independence Day celebration. The video is unlisted, so only people with the link can view it. If you want to share it with anyone, you must give them the link.

"Preamble" dance on YouTube

Hello everyone! As you read in the information we sent home with our campers today, we will be performing "The Preamble" and "You're A Grand Old Flag" at the City of Hamilton's Independence Day celebration on Wednesday, July 4th. (Just a note: there is NO camp in the morning that day. Please see the info sheet or contact a teacher if you need more info).

Here is a link to the dance for "The Preamble" on YouTube. We may only have room for a few kids to dance while the others stand and sing, so please encourage your child to practice the dance this weekend so that they can could potentially be picked as one of our dancers for this performance. (The stage we perform on might be small, so we won't know for sure until we get more information on the space we have).

2012 HAMS Audition Video

The 2012 HAMS audition video link is below. Due to a required change in formatting, Shelbey's head got cut off at times. So there are some over-head arm movements you may not be able to see clearly. Emily Russell is in the back (wearing blue and white, on the right side of the video). She knows the dance well, so you can watch her for the parts where Shelbey might not be clearly visible.
